Autobiography:

Alexa has been a writer for over twenty five years. She has written brochures, radio ad copy, magazine articles, news articles, personal histories and poetry. In addition she has assisted in the completion of several worthwhile, non-profit projects such as the Women's History Writing Workshops of the Castlegar and District Heritage Society and the editing and publishing of the West Kootenay Indian Paintbrush, a newsletter for the Lower Columbia River All First Nation's Council. Recently she authored a successful proposal for funding for the Secwepemc News.

Don and Alexa have been friends since their teen years and married in 1990. Alexa is a writer and a poet. Since her battle with breast cancer in 1996 she is grateful for life. Alexa's specialty is human interest writing and she has a great interest in helping others tell their stories and write their family histories.
